Want to become…
Stronger • Leaner • More Confident
Supported • Addicted!
We totally get that things come up and you can’t make it to the barre. If you have reserved your space in class, please cancel at least 2 hours in advance to avoid being charged any cancellation fees. If you are not on-time for class, you will not be allowed in to ensure your muscles are warm and safe!
The required attire for taking class at our studio is: leggings {capri length or longer}, a top that completely covers midriff and grippy socks. The reason leggings and a full covered top are required is to keep the heat in the body to prevent injury while keeping muscles warm. This will ensure the utmost safe workout for you! {this also allows our staff to make the proper hands on corrections} The Studio Barre workout is done without shoes and because we care about your safety, we require you wear grippy socks in class. Not only are they super cute, but they will keep your feet in place and everything clean. You can shop our boutique for your grippy socks.
Classes and class packages are not interchangeable at other Studio Barre locations. Only Studio Barre Society members can enjoy classes at all studio barre locations for a discounted drop-in price. All packages are non-refundable and expire in 365 tucking days {unless otherwise stated} so be sure to get your booty in class.
We love when you shop in our boutique. At this time due to COVID-19 all sales are final and no returns or exchanges will be allowed.
Meet Lerena Recio! Originally from the lone star state, Texas. At an early age she discovered her love for fitness through dance, cheer, and a wide range of sports. Health and fitness have always been a huge part of her life. She encourages and teaches her children as well as others, the value of both! Her husband, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard for the past 12 years, has given their family the opportunity to meet and make amazing friendships as well as travel and explore so many places such as Alaska, Hawaii and now Newport! In her spare time she enjoys any and every adventure the outdoors have to offer, a jack of all trades when it comes to crafts, she loves gatherings, and is a foodie at heart! Born and raised in Bristol, Carmen loves living right by the water. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2017 with a bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies. Carmen always knew she wanted to work with children but was not sure in what capacity. After working at an after school program she soon decided to pursue a Masters in the Art of Teaching at RIC, and hopes to teach elementary education when she graduates. Carmen has always been active, however, she has never felt as challenged as she is when taking a barre class. The rewarding feeling after taking class, as well as the warm and welcoming community is what hooked her. She believes nothing is better than being challenged with such a motivating and humble group surrounding her.
Ariana was born and raised just North of Boston, but has considered herself a Newport local for the last 6 years. She graduated from Salve Regina University with a Bachelors in Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration. Ariana discovered Studio Barre during graduate school where she fell in love with the challenging yet sassy workout, and stayed for the supportive, uplifting community! Her combined background in cheerleading, lacrosse, and dance brought her to consider becoming a {barre}tender. SB has increased her overall confidence, leaving her feeling better than ever!
Ariana loves spending time with her family, cooking new and exciting meals, traveling the world, working at a nutrition club (our neighbor!) and spending summers barefoot by the ocean. Take her class and ask about one of the 18 countries she’s travelled to, or her favorite dish to whip up! She’ll be sure to make you shake, sweat, and sparkle.

Caroline fell in love with Newport when she moved here in 2010. After graduating from The University of Vermont with B.A. in English, she spent several years in Boston working in sales in the technology industry. She then spent a summer in Nantucket, returned to her hometown East Greenwich, and found her way to Aquidneck Island. Caroline lives in the 5th Ward of Newport, and sells residential real estate full time as a realtor with Remax Professionals of Newport, on The Fitzpatrick Team.
Sports and fitness have always been a passion of Caroline’s, and she’s always wanted to teach class. She was hooked since day 1 at Studio Barre and transitioned from a regular class attendee, to barre maven, and is now thrilled to have become a barretender!
